Compare 2026 GMC Canyon Trims: Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali

The 2026 GMC Canyon comes in four trims, and the difference from base to top is more significant than a badge swap. Lester Glenn GMC has the full details to explore. Here's what sets Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali apart.

2026 GMC Canyon Elevation trim featuring 18-inch wheels and LED headlights

Elevation

Start here and you're already getting more than you'd expect from a base trim. A 2.7-liter TurboMax™ four-cylinder engine produces 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the new GMC Canyon can tow up to 7,700 lbs. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, and 4WD is available. Inside, you get an 11.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, a digital driver information center, and single-zone automatic climate control. 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and LED headlights round out the standard package.

2026 GMC Canyon AT4 showing off its 2-inch factory lift and off-road capability

AT4

Four-wheel drive comes standard on the AT4, along with a 2-inch factory lift, an automatic locking rear differential, a two-speed transfer case, and a Drive Mode Selector covering Normal, Terrain, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road settings. The cabin gains heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote engine start, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.

2026 GMC Canyon AT4X high-performance off-road truck with Multimatic DSSV dampers and rock rails

AT4X

If the AT4 handles unpaved roads, the AT4X handles everything past them. Built on the AT4, it steps up with a 3-inch factory lift, Multimatic DSSV dampers, selectable front and rear electronic locking differentials, 17-inch wheels with mud-terrain tires, rock rails, and additional underbody skid plates. A spray-in bedliner and exclusive Baja drive mode also come standard. The AT4X is the first trim where a Bose® premium audio system and power sunroof are included as standard.

2026 GMC Canyon Denali luxury truck variant with chrome exterior trim and 20-inch aluminum wheels

Denali

At the top of this new GMC truck lineup, refinement takes over. Four-wheel drive comes standard, and the interior adds leather-appointed seating with heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and adaptive cruise control. Chrome exterior trim and 20-inch aluminum wheels give the Denali a distinct look. Tech features include a Bose premium audio system and a 6.3-inch multicolor head-up display.
