Who Is Eligible, and Which Vehicles Are Eligible?

 The GM military discount applies to active duty, reservists, and national guard personnel, as well as all retirees of the U.S. military branches and their sponsored spouses. Eligible vehicles include SUVs, pickup trucks, cars, crossovers, and vans. You can find the current list of eligible vehicles on the GM Military Appreciation website.

What Documentation Is Required?

To take advantage of the program, participants must register through ID.me to validate their military status. Participants may receive two authorizations per year and each authorization is valid for 90 days after the issue date. Documentation required is the authorization number and a copy of your driver’s license with the license number redacted, but the zip code and date of birth visible.

Certain other documents are required for verification as well, such as leave and earnings statements (LES) within the last 30 days or current orders with activation dates.
